KNOWLEDGE MODULES (13 CREDITS):

- Legislation and Regulations Influencing the Security Industry
- Security Equipment
PRACTICAL SKILLS MODULES (10 CREDITS):
- Inspect, Operate and Record Security Equipment
- Conduct Regular Patrols and Inspections
WORKPLACE EXPERIENCE MODULES (19 CREDITS):
- Security Equipment Inspection and Maintenance
- Patrolling Processes
- Security Reporting, Recording, and Legal Processes
Students are required to complete the following:
- 3 theoretical assignments
- 2 practical assignments
- 3 workplace assignments
Upon completion of this course, students will be awarded an Occupational Certificate: Patrol Officer from the QCTO.
This qualification articulates horizontally and vertically with the following qualifications.
Horizontal Articulation:
- National Certificate: Locksmithing, Level 3.
Vertical Articulation:
- Further Education and Training Certificate: Dog Handler, Level 4.
