KNOWLEDGE MODULES (13 CREDITS):

• Introduction to the Security Industry
• Legislation and Regulations Influencing the Security Industry
• Security Equipment

PRACTICAL SKILLS MODULES (10 CREDITS):

• Inspect, Operate and Record Security Equipment
• Conduct Regular Patrols and Inspections

WORKPLACE EXPERIENCE MODULES (19 CREDITS):

• Security Equipment Inspection and Maintenance
• Patrolling Processes
• Security Reporting, Recording, and Legal Processes

Students are required to complete the following:

• 3 theoretical assignments
• 2 practical assignments
• 3 workplace assignments

Upon completion of this course, students will be awarded an Occupational Certificate: Patrol Officer from the QCTO.

This qualification articulates horizontally and vertically with the following qualifications.

Horizontal Articulation:

• National Certificate: Locksmithing, Level 3.

Vertical Articulation:

• Further Education and Training Certificate: Dog Handler, Level 4.
