Course duration:

12 months

Entry requirements:
  • Minimum of Grade 9 with Mathematics and Science and Employed in a apprentenship or learnership OR
  • GR 12 to gain access to N4 Engineering

Electrical Engineering:

  • Electrical Trade Theory N1 – N3

Electronical Engineering:

  • Electrical Trade Theory N1 – N3
  • Industrial Electronics N1 – N3

Motor Mechanic – Petrol:

  • Motor Trade Theory N1-N3

Motor Mechanic – Diesel:

  • Motor Trade Theory N1
  • Diesel Trade Theory N2 – N3

Millwright – Engineering Drawing:

  • Electrical Trade Theory N1 – N3

Millwright – Industrial Engineering:

  • Electrical Trade Theory N1-N3
  • Industrial Electronics N1-N3

Fitting and Turning:

  • Fitting and Machining N1 – N2
  • Mechanotechnology N3

Boilermaker:

  • Metal Workers Theory N1
  • Platers Theory N2
  • Plating and Structural Steel Drawings N1- N3
  • Mechanotechnology N3
Assessment and award:

Students are required to complete the following:

  • 3 assignments per subject (passmark 50%)
  • 1 exam per subject

Upon completion of this course, students will receive statement of results from the SDP.
