National Certificate: N1 Engineering Studies (Boilermaker)
This career-oriented course is the first step in your training towards a career as a boilermaker. This course will introduce you to the fundamental theoretical elements of boiler making, and you will gain the knowledge and skills you need to progress to the N2 level.

Grade 10 (with Maths, Science and Drawings) or Grade 9 with N1 Bridging Certificate
- Mathematics N1
- Plating and Structural Steel Drawings N1
- Engineering Science N1
- Metal Workers Theory N1
Students are required to complete the following:
- 3 assignments per subject
- 1 exam per subject
Upon completion of this course, students will be awarded a Certificate of Achievement: N1 Engineering Studies from DHET.
N courses are offered and assessed by Oxbridge Academy. After gaining a qualifying year mark, students will be admitted to write the national examination at an approved venue. Read our N1-N3 Exam-letter for information on writing the exams.
