The David Tlale suit, Dolce & Gabbana sunglasses, and flashy BMW may have you looking like a million rand, but do you really know how to attain that sort of wealth? There is a certain financial and business mentality that’s common in most self-made millionaires, and it’s a mentality worth adopting.
We take a look at the top 3 habits millionaires have in common:
1 – They do whatever it takes to meet their goals
People who earn their millions are able not only to focus, but to work hard at achieving their goals. Decide what you want to achieve, and then focus on achieving your goal. And yes, it’s going to involve long hours, hard work, and persistence – but it will pay off in the end! Do what it takes to make your idea successful, even if it involves making sacrifices.
2 – They don’t entertain self-doubt
“When you doubt your power, you give power to your doubt.” – Honore de Balzac
I’m in over my head. I will never get the job. What if I’m not good enough? At one point or another, we all question whether or not we are doing enough, making enough money, or if we are going to be “successful” enough.
Stop comparing your accomplishments to your friends’ and colleagues’ accomplishments. Millionaires don’t care what everyone else thinks of them. Worrying about what other people think of you will continue to hold you back from doing something potentially huge for yourself. Just focus on the task at hand and take it one step at a time.
3 – They step outside their comfort zones
Most of us have a desire to be comfortable and to play it safe. Trying something new can seem scary and not worth the effort. However, trying something new and unfamiliar brings more excitement and fulfilment than simply doing the same thing day in, day out. To be successful, you need to do many things outside of your comfort zone – on a regular basis. Remember: it’s often the scariest things that bring the greatest rewards.
