Social media sites have always been a great source of entertainment and information across a variety of topics. The average person uses social media sites to keep up to date with current events, to connect with their friends and family, or simply to have fun.

It has, however, become apparent that social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and LinkedIn can have a much bigger impact or influence on people’s lives than simply being a source of entertainment.
