What will a course in farming management equip you with?

Farming management courses are available as national certificates from N4 to N6 level. You’ll need to start with the N4 certificate, where you’ll get an introduction to the world of farming management. You’ll learn essential skills such as business management, financial management, data management and maintenance management, as well as other managerial skills specific to the agricultural sector.

The N5 certificate will build on the knowledge you gained previously and guide you towards becoming better prepared for a career in farming management. Once you’ve completed your N5 course, you can move on to the N6 certificate, where you’ll further build on what you’ve learnt. You will also gain new knowledge in areas such as human resource management and staffing.

After N6 level, you will have all the knowledge you need to apply for a job in the sector. Once you build up 18 months of work experience, you will be able to gain a national diploma in farming management.
