Follow our top 3 tips to help you get up and go!
Your alarm goes off, you hit snooze; your alarm goes off a second time, you hit snooze again…. Until finally, you find yourself rushing around trying to get ready as quickly as possible because you’re late for work and you’re going to miss the bus… . Sound familiar? Don’t worry, it happens to all of us.
Tomorrow, don’t hit the snooze button – try our top 3 tips:
1. Make sure you have some screen-free time before going to sleep
Try to turn off the television and put away your phone at least 30 minutes before you want to fall asleep. Most phones now use LED lighting, which, research shows, gives off blue light. This blue light makes you more alert, and can prevent you from falling asleep. Rather read a book before you nod off – you’ll feel the difference in the morning.
2. Make a list of everything you want to accomplish tomorrow
Write down everything important you need to accomplish, and make your to-do list. This way, when you wake up, you’ll have a clear action plan. Our career coach suggests prioritising your tasks and focusing on the most important ones first. And don’t let anyone distract you until you are done!

3. Prepare ahead so that there is less fuss in the morning
Spend 5 – 10 minutes doing things like preparing lunch or choosing the clothes you want to wear tomorrow. By doing this, you won’t need to run around in the morning trying to find the shoes you wore last week. Also try packing your bag this evening – you’ll be less likely to leave something behind.
