What Are Top Certified Employers?

The Top Employers Institute is the global certification company recognising excellence in employers around the world. Every year, the institute releases a list of the companies it has certified as Top Employers. The list is based on extensive research into employee working conditions and human resources (HR) best practices. The 2019 list includes 1373 top employers worldwide, of which 98 are situated in South Africa.

Certified Top Employers are found to “provide exceptional employee conditions, nurture and develop talent throughout all levels of the organisation and demonstrate its leadership in the HR environment, always striving to optimise employment practices and develop employees”.
